Kelleann Foster has two professional degrees in landscape architecture: one from Penn State and a Master's degree from the University of Massachusetts Department of Land. Arch. and Regional Planning. Prior to beginning teaching and research in 1989, Ms. Foster worked at McCloskey and Faber, P.C. near Philadelphia where her work included all scales of planning and design, including work with land use regulations.

Kelleann's expertise includes community design and planning, with particular emphasis on the relationship between regulatory codes and the actual development's impact upon the landscape, especially as this relates to public officials' understanding of the planning process and its products. Her most recent work focuses on utilizing computer technologies and photo-realistic image manipulation to communicate alternative community design scenarios and policies to local decision makers. This work is receiving recognition nationally and internationally. She is also an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at Penn State.

Matt Graham graduated from Penn State in 1981 with a BSLA and has experience in site planning, civil engineering, mathematics, community design/planning, mapping/GIS and commercial software development. He is a certified developer with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI: ArcInfo®, ArcCAD®, ArcView®), Autodesk, Inc. (AutoCAD®), MapInfo Corporation (MapInfo®), Apple Computer, Inc. and SummaGraphics Corporation.

Matt's expertise focuses on two and three dimensional computer maps that provide a dynamic foundation for analysis, planning, presentation and management of land-based resources for private land owners, corporations and government agencies. His work encompasses computer software development, GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS land bases, and interactive digital information. He is also a founding partner of Earthware, Inc. which uses computers to enhance and simplify the communication and use of spatial information.
